A lot of people who have done Karazhan are now eagerly awaiting the
arrival of Zul’Aman in one of the upcoming patches. Unfortunately for
them, I think they are going to get creamed (from a random forum post):
I’m pretty much done with TBC, I think. ZA can’t come fast enough.
Our Kara group is going to fucking destroy it.
Everybody seems to think that just because their Kara group is great,
this will translate to immediate success in Zul’Aman. It makes no sense
that it will be so because at this point, Kara is Scholo/Strat in Old
WoW. Remember The days immediately after dinging 60 where everyone
raided those two dungeons? Just like the first time you walked into
Heroic Underbog with greens and wiped for five hours to get to the last
boss, it is going to take time to get the pulls down and get the gear to
be successful in ZA. Now your raid group of ten people can clear Kara in
a single night, that doesn’t automatically translate to success
somewhere else. About the only people I expect to have good success
(multiple bosses first night) in the first weeks of ZA are the guilds
who already outgear it.
After that cold splash of reality, I do want to say that I am looking
forward to running it with my core team. We should have a lot of fun
(and repair bills) and I am hoping for some server firsts.
