A little look back
When the drama bomb that I was involved in exploded, there was a certain amount of nostalgia on my part. I mean, I was leaving a bunch of people who were solid players, who I got along with, and who I had switched servers to join.
Thank $diety for “being stupid.”
The first 2 months were tough. Moving to the low pop server that we did meant that the pool of raiders was really small. Combine some idiots* with aggressive leadership and our guild (unfortunately) imploded because of freaking Kara. I think a little more “we’re dedicated to end-game PVE” would have gone a long way to making people know what they were signing up for but that is in the lesson learned pile. So, we join with another guild to complete their first Kara run and start a second. I think that’s about a month tops before the dumb officer (there’s always one) goes on a rant and gets kicked (yay for leadership!) and 75% of the healing leaves with her (boo for lying sacks). We struggled on our own for a bit before getting everyone to join with another guild.
It’s awesome. They had a couple of extra healers, and we were able to hand them a second complete Kara raid (with a healing hole) to form SuperAwesomenessRaidingTimes. We can now finish Kara in one night (four hours is the record), server firsts on Illhoof, Maulgar, and Gruul, and we’re pushing into the rest of the content. Meanwhile, what I left behind is still about the same pace as before, and I would probably be considering quitting again. Instead, I log in my main to get those last little bits of rep and gear that could push us over the edge and love it!
Now, with Rith apping again as Holy (hopefully not for long), pretty much the whole team is back together and we’ve picked up some new friends (<3 Raisis) that we can play WAR with too. Kara Raid 3 is pretty strong when we don’t steal all their warlocks, Gruul is definitely farm, and Mags should go down soon. I love the smell of progression in the middle of the night!

I play the game and don’t understand this post. Sounds a bit sappy though…which only adds to the geekidity of the post.
