NY,SOS
When I started this entry, I said to myself that “I am not going to go the ‘resolution’ route this year.” This was because, in my experience, resolutions tend be wishy-washy dreams of making oneself better rather than something concrete and achieveable. So, when my first draft referred to what follows as a set of goals in various areas that I want to accomplish this year. Then I decided to stop being sanctimonious. The dictionary definition of resolution is “a course of action determined or decided on.” Since that is what I am doing, determining a course of action, whether I call it a goal or a resolution the functional idea is the same: get me off my ass to accomplish some things. What exactly am I going to do? Well, that’s what comes below.

1) 100,000 words on this website.
2) At least one email to a friend/family member per week.
Fitness
1) Lose 5 pounds.
2) Run a 6 minute mile.
Gaming
1) Recruit 10 solid players for Winter Born.
2) Go infinite in EVE.

Over the next week, I am going to explain each of the goals in detail and why I think this area should be improved. Welcome to the New Year, how are you going to pull the SOS?
