Ignore me, I’m not special
Well, it looks like I am just like every other schlub who fell into the MMO addiction cycle and can’t go anywhere else. What with the current ennui in WoW (can’t raid, all faction rewards are worthless after tBC, etc.), I downloaded the EVE client the other day. It’s pretty cool, even though I kind of wish that I gotten into it way back in the day when I first saw it on the EBgames rack in Ohio.
The free 14 day trial is nifty too, it lets me get a little taste of a different life before going back to my beloved Warcrack. (The heroin is nice, but it’s crack by preference!) Needless to say, my min-maxing tendencies are brought out nicely by EVE as I’ve already learned the optimal skill learning tree and found the fastest race (Caldari Achura) to level. I’ve also figured out that when the scanner says “Threat level: High” book out before you get that bright and shiny Condor (spent 2 hours getting all the parts for it) blow out from under you. Fortunately, it was an NPC that whacked me so no pod-killing for this boy.
Will this continue? I dunno, particularly as Otter said “choose one, WoW or EVE.” I like that I can set skills to learn and then run off to play WoW, and it’s ideal for my dual boxing setup where I’m really to lazy to use both to the full effectiveness but can do semi-AFK mining while kicking ass in the Outlands. So, mark it up in the Fun-but-not-Crack area and we’ll revisit.
i am so waiting for COMMAND & CONQUER 3 TIBERIUM WARS to come out, when it does i am soo getting it and becoming a little junkie for awhile!! that is what i am waiting for, other games just don’t hold any attraction for me, it is a shame because i just can’t get into them at all, F*CK!!!!
i am sad about that, i finally have a system that will run all these games and non look interesting enough for me
