So there I was

Umm yeah… I now have unfiltered internet access three times a week. What does this mean beyond being able to get to all the pr0n sites? That’s right, World of Warcraft. My one solid night of playing so far got me 50k of the final 210k XP for my 4th level 60. Crazy, addicted, or just plain stupid?

I console my self by being proud of resisting the temptation to do the Rank 14 grind. The results of that grind are … ugly, to say the least. From an interview:

Anyone who is able to get rank 14 is most likely a student or unemployed, but more importantly they have monk-like patience. They are beyond casual gamers, hardcore gamers, or any other type you can name. They are in a class of their own, having played 60+ hour weeks continuously for months, on the same unchanging map, with the same items, sometimes without blinking.

Rank 6 for the combat pots is good enough for me thanks.

Back to playing WoW from over here. My average ping time is in the neighborhood of 1100ms, which is what I played with for two months over dialup in the US. When it spikes to 3500ms or greater, that’s when things get hairy. Somehow, I’ve still managed to farm

though… The time difference is the biggest change as well. Our guild has a bunch of Aussies, so we had about 2/3ds of the globe covered in terms of having people on line. Now I’m that last third, so I only really see one or two people on and instance runs are like pulling teeth. It is kind of nice to not have any competition for the grinding spots.

Only being able to play three nights of the week has been pretty beneficial. I am working on some stuff in Photoshop (latest scrap piece) which should be done in a couple of days and then I’ll start something else. Also, I’m watching Chobits; thoughts on that later.

    I log and get tells like “level faster so i can get healing!” and “I will give you the world if you hit 60 by the weekend!” >.> rogues heh.

    Onty is back. :) he has stolen me away early from at least 2 raids. >.> which fell apart after i left. maybe they do need me? :)

    We have twin lvl 7 mages. Undead. I really really want mew family pics! then we will have 2 sets of twins! :D

    like i said previously, i would be more than willing to skip a few raids if you want me to try to get Majer into a few BV raids. just say the word (and send me info!) I have been practicing magery on test server with a premade to get the hang of a 60. what is your spec??

    I don’t really care about the DKP hole, just get Snow to 60. It doesn’t sound like there is a need for Mages anyways, so just keep leveling and keep Ontic around. BTW, Majer is 18/33 Arcane/Frost so pretty much a standard Raid build, no imagination here.

    I’m going to start leveling my Druid and Warlock to at least 35 so I can turn them into crafting mules. The Druid I’ll probably push to 60 since we need them too…

    Hey… when do you play?? I have >.> wacked out hours these days but am usually on FM after 2am est after a movie or raid or whatnot. Have no idea what time that is for you… you should let me know! We could farm me an Illusionary rod!! drool
