We’re not there yet, but the majority of the travel is behind us. Next stop is the end, but we get to experience the old “hurry up and wait” that is the normal state of military movement. Otter is, needless to say, ecstatic that I am almost there; we may even get to see each other once in this first week.
Oh yeah, and after years of shirking responsibility, guess who popped up as the lead for everyone going to our final destination? That’s right, I got tabbed to keep track of dozens of people and tons of equipment and baggage. No major screwups yet, but the trip is only halfway done.
