Pretty much everywhere I go in WoW, there’s always that one drop which just continues to elude me regardless of the number of times I try to get it. On my first server, it was the

. My druid ran UD Strat more than 50 times trying to get it to drop, and I never once even saw a pair drop much less lose out on a roll for them. Of course, the first time I went as a rogue, they dropped… Let’s just say the group I was in was lucky that we had already killed the Baron since Alt-F4 was the next skill that I used.

The statistical hate continued when I hit my new server and changed sides. Now, it’s the

But, last night, something happened. Maybe the servers finally recognized that I wasn’t going away no matter how hard they punished me. Maybe it was that good things sometimes do happen to good not-really-good people. Whatever. I got my lewts.
Let’s do a little setup. Last night was my first ever DM Tribute run. “Nub” you say and all I can do is agree. This was actually my second attempt at one since during my first one the guy with the

DCed right in front of Captain Kromkrush. This time, I had suckered all guildies onto my run, so we did fine. (By fine, I mean I only wiped us once due to a miscommunication of “go fix the trap” not having “after I Mind Soothe” attached to it. Tarcia put the SS on Khetti right quick and we all died on purpose since Slip’kik decided to join the party x( ) The end result of the night was perfect for me as the King dropped his - Ogre Tannin

Random news about people you don’t care about
Yes, yes, I troll so you don’t have to, blah blah, etc. etc. ANYways, one of the big guilds changed course again. Conquest, beginners of the chase through MC, left WoW a short time ago to take a swing at EQII.
We really tried to buckle down, grit our teeth, and give EQ2 a good solid go. In the end though, the interest just wasn’t there. In the endless debate of quantity vs quality, it would appear that quality is the more important of the two.On the bright side though our current roster is possibly the most talented group we’ve ever had. Less then a week after returning we’ve picked up where we left off, and then some.
Then some is downing Nef a week after being at Firemaw (50%). Color me green. Various issues with EQII included itemization, mob/encounter design, and itemization. I’d like to gloat and say I told them so, but I didn’t. And really, I’m too much of an addict to look at anything else with a uncritical eye. There’s another post in there somewhere…

As most guilds do, a guild on Kil’Jaeden used Ventrilo for their raiding pleasure. After (apparently) months of effort, they decided that a change of leadership was in order. Needless to say, the old leadership went kicking and screaming, sometimes like little girls. From the “manifesto” of complaints that the guild had, it basically looks like the two founders/GLs were using everyone else to outfit them and their alts.
I’ll link the .mp3 file after the forum link dies, but until then, have fun! It’s NSFW, including multiple “nigger” uses and random yelling by the GL in question.

From the “other” MMO, we get Aggro on some Friday humor. The key point, at the end of a discussion about possible powerups, is this:
10. WoW Simulator: This achievement is a technical masterpiece that changes your actual log-on screen. Instead of simply logging on to your character as usual, players with this achievement will have to wait in a queue of random length! Sometimes for up to an hour!
Now, I could post a nice long thing about how that just means more people want to play WoW’s content, but I think I’ll just go cry in the corner while the queue counts down.

If only it was that easy. Errr, wait a minute… Upgrading Wordpress is pretty much exactly like upgrading your UI in WoW: full of fits, restarts, and “WTF won’t this thing just work damit!!” moments. The one constant that everyone playing WoW (and using AddOns) knows about is that handy “Load Out of Date Addons” check box on the AddonManager. Unfortunately, this doesn’t save you from having to redo your UI every damn time Blizzard throws more crap on overloaded servers upgrades the game.
With that said… Welcome to the new blog! By new, we of course mean the same old crap served up in a brand new (WP 2.0.1) container with all new flavoring (Regulus V2). My theme modifications to Regulus will be reappearing later rather than sooner (see, honesty!!), but will be back. It’s not easy living up to Foton’s billing of “Best Warcraft-esque design plus content!” but we try.
Yada yada, promises, blah, item links, blah blah, stories with pictures, mmmmmm, all on the way!
