Commenting
Last Thursday, a couple of people left comments on the First Command thread. The problem for me is that I didn’t even see them until this morning. Since one comment was chock full of linky goodness, it didn’t get posted until I approved it this morning. That was completely my bad, and I apologize! It was the comment in suuport of me, which is even worse.
That being said, I love that I got a couple of comments. While sometimes it may seem that all I am doing is writing for myself, the feedback portion of running a blog is really where it is at. I consistently get about 200 unique hits a month, but less than 2 comments a month. (I will admit that I check the site five or six times a day from three or four different computers to see if anyone has commented, but not 200.) Now, either I am writing interesting stuff that shows up in the all-mighty Google machine, or I am writing complete tripe that no one ever wants to read again (which also shows up in Google’s output). Please let me know which is which! Hell, I’d rather have tens of comments telling me where I am wrong (and providing objective proof) than one or two telling me how right I am, simply because that means there is a discussion going on.
So, this is my official comment plea. If, somehow, you ended up on my frontpage to see this post, please let me know that you read the site. It’d be cool if you indicated whether you were a regular reader or found it through another post on Google/MSN/Yahoo, but a short note that says ”[insert pseudonym of choice] was here” is great too. Thanks!!
PS. I will also be talking about those comments that I got, just later today.
