Bad dealings
Straight from John of Argghhh! and MSNBC comes the report (less annexes) on the prisoner debacle. It is a necessary read, just to find out what was known and what was ignored by the chain of command. I have it, but I am going to wait to post anything from it due to classification issues. It is interesting to note that there are sections marked ”(S/NF)” and ”(S)” which are present in the document. Respectively, they mean “Secret/No Foreign” and “Secret.” I’d like to know what they guy that released it was thinking since it is not an official release. Edit: Silent Running has more.
All I can say is I am ashamed that the officers in charge behaved the way they did. They don’t get all of the blame, they didn’t do it, but they allowed the environment in which such behavior could exist to remain for far to long. Leavenworth would be too good for them.
